New addition to the access market, Altux, chose the Spanish construction exhibition, SMOPyC, to show its products for the first time.

Altux, based in Torre Pacheo, Spain, showed three models of diesel scissor lifts: DX112, DX115 and DX118 with maximum working heights of 12 m, 15 m and 18 m respectively and two types of electrical scissor:EX110 and EX112 offering 10 m and 12 m working heights.

The company began manufacturing at the beginning of the year and expects to be able to provide production quantities by July.

The design of the equipment being developed by Altux is based on research the company carried out with rental businesses. Altux told Access International that its machines are more robust than its competitors', easy to maintain and designed specifically for the rental market. The machines include internal memory which can record up to 10000 actions, helping rental companies control their fleets.

Altux is hoping to tap in to the growing Eastern European market and is currently working on a range articulated booms with telescopic booms expected to follow.
