ASIA focus for PASMA

14 October 2015

PASMA, the international trade association for the mobile access tower industry, signed a memorandum of understanding with the Access and Scaffolding Industry Association (ASIA) on Friday, 16 October, at its tenth anniversary dinner at the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore.

ASIA was founded in 2005 with the aim of promoting professional excellence in the access industry throughout Southeast Asia. The memorandum will be signed on behalf of PASMA by its technical director, Don Aers, and by ASIA’s president, Jonathan Wan.

Mr Aers said, “By working more formally and closely together we aim to encourage and develop best practice throughout the region when working at height using mobile access towers.

“As organisations we have a lot in common and it’s only natural and logical therefore that we should forge a closer working relationship to stimulate and improve height safety.”

During the course of this week, 13 to 15 October, PASMA is also exhibiting at BuildTech Asia 2015, Southeast Asia’s largest show for building technology.

PASMA will also sponsor the Workplace Health and Safety Conference (WHSC 2015) taking place at the Singapore EXPO on 15 October. With its theme Zero in on safety, the conference is expected to attract more than 200 delegates seeking to improve their knowledge and understanding of health and safety.
