Barnhart opens second Ohio location

Barnhart Crane & Rigging Co. unveiled the opening of a second Ohio location with a new facility in Columbus.

“The addition of the Columbus branch enhances Barnhart’s presence in the Midwest and provides more options for current and new customers in central Ohio, western Pennsylvania and central Indiana,” said Jim Chapman, regional director, Barnhart.

The Columbus branch is located adjacent to Rickenbacker International Airport and provides access to the Interstate 270 loop. The new location will provide customers in the region a wide inventory of operated and bare rental cranes ranging from five-ton to 1,800-ton capacity, as well as specialized rigging equipment. In addition, the Columbus branch will offer indoor and outdoor storage, as well as services including machinery moving, engineered heavy lift and heavy haul solutions.

The addition of the Columbus branch will enhance Barnhart’s presence in the Midwest.

“The Columbus team’s focus will be on providing service to the tech industry, new construction and infrastructure improvements, power transmission and generation, and manufacturing,” said Chapman. The new branch will allow Barnhart to continue to diversify its services and link existing regional branches by sharing resources and bringing new equipment to the area.”

In addition to its Ohio locations in Canton and Columbus, Barnhart’s regional presence also includes branches in Elkhart and Fowler, IN; Monroe, MI; Owensboro and Calvert City, KY; and Philadelphia, PA.
