BlueLine buys Area Equipment LLC

BlueLine Rental continues its expansion after purchasing another rental company recently. Virginia-based Area Equipment LLC is the most recent acquisition under BlueLine's belt. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Area Equipment serves customers in industrial and non-residential construction markets.

BlueLine is owned by Platinum Equity, which acquired the business in January 2014. The Area Equipment acquisition marks the third add-on investment BlueLine has made under Platinum Equity's ownership.

In September 2014, BlueLine acquired JustRuss Rental Inc., a full-service equipment rental company with three locations in Alabama.

Also, in February 2015, BlueLine acquired Trico Lift, a rental company specialized in aerial lift equipment with locations in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Texas.
