Its client and the location of the wind farm had yet to be disclosed at the time of writing. Boskalis has worked predominately in Europe, in recent years expanding into Asia and, more recently, to the US East coast.

Boskalis’ says its crane vessels Bokalift 1 and Bokalift 2, as well as its heavy transport fleet, are ideal for working on large scale offshore wind projects.

This latest contract will occupy one year of crane vessel utilisation days and the equivalent of two years of heavy transport vessels.

Engineering and pre-construction work has started and the project is due to get fully underway in 2023, Boskalis said.
