IC regrets to announce the death of Christian-Jacques Vernazza on 18 March 2013.

As president of the European Association of Abnormal Road Transport and Mobile Cranes (ESTA) Vernazza strived passionately for the industry while building his company Mediaco into the largest crane rental company in France. “He possessed the charisma to put efforts in to real action, could speak words of wisdom and had the gift to unite people as if they were a true family,” an ESTA spokesperson said.

Recent years saw him struggle with his health but he remained hardworking and enthusiastic.

The funeral is Friday 22 March, 09.30a.m. at the Saint-Michel Church in the village of Cassis, close to Marseille, France.
