Cifa features composite booms

31 March 2010

Cifa-Zoomlion will launch two models in its new Carbotech H series featuring placing booms constructed from composite materials. The K62H-XRZ truck mounted concrete pump features a six-section 62 m boom, the last three sections of which are manufactured from composite material to reduce weight while maintaining performance and rigidity.

With a double-layer pipe diameter of 125 mm and an RZ folding system in conjunction with a HPG 1808-IF9 close loop concrete pump, the K62H-XRZ truck mounted concrete pump weighs less than 53 tonnes. Available in high pressure specification with 130 bar pumping pressure, the unit features a maximum output of 110 m3 per hour, while in low pressure configuration output increases to 180 m3 per hour at a pumping pressure of 80 bar.

The K45H-XRZ features a five-section 45 m boom, of which the final two sections are manufactured from composite materials, and is mounted on a 32 tonne truck equipped with X style telescopic diagonal outriggers. Fitted with a HPG 1408-IF9 pump featuring Cifa's close loop electronic controls (EPC), the unit boasts an output of 140 m3 per hour at a pressure of 80 bar.

A 228 mm S-valve guarantees optimum concrete flow with low wear, while the EPC system means the pump automatically adapts to the type of concrete being pumped while ensuring smooth operation and reduced fuel consumption.
