By Niamh Marriott26 October 2021
Headquartered in Halifax, UK, Collett & Sons provides warehousing and storage services for both internal and external solutions.

Following recent acquisitions, the company has expanded its warehousing operations with the addition of Mile Thorn Works (Halifax) and Perseverance Works (Elland), and now offers six depots across Halifax, Goole Grangemouth and Bradford.
The new acquisitions mean the company can accommodate all types of cargo from heavy lift abnormal loads through to standard pallets.
Gantry cranes
Just under a mile from its long-established Halifax Headquarters, Mile Thorn Works offers 3,224 square metres of secure internal storage.
This facility has two 20 tonne and two 10 tonne capacity gantry cranes, and offers drive in roller shutter access allowing cargo to be directly offloaded from the trailer.

Perseverance Works, the new Elland Depot, provides an additional 3,792 square metres of internal storage and has multiple gantry cranes, ranging in capacity from 5 to 32 tonnes.
This facility has three high bays with 7.75 metre high eaves and a drive-in loading access via 6 metre by 5.5 metre roller doors. The depot has main road connection to Junction 24 of the M62 motorway.
Both facilities have cargo lift and handling equipment, including fork-lift trucks up to 15 tonnes.
