UK-based manufacturer Echo Barrier has launched the new H3 sound reduction barrier - a development on the previous H2, the H3 offers a number of new attributes.

The company said the barrier was fire resistant and weatherproof and can operate in temperatures as low as -40oC and against powerful waterjets.

It said the H3 came with a sound dampening core as standard, achieving noise reduction of up to 30 dB. The barriers also came in a range of colours and with a selection of accessories to maintain effectiveness and ease of installation.

Peter Wilson, technical director at Echo Barrier, said, “Our team of acoustic engineers are constantly researching and developing new solutions to ensure we can meet the needs of our customers.

"The number of contractors now specifying noise reduction solutions as part of their site management credentials is increasing rapidly, as the impact of noise on local communities becomes more of an issue."

Echo Barriers were not only said to offer a reduction in noise from loud work sites, but could also reduce the amount of dust and debris escaping on to the street, and protect site workers by reducing their exposure to a level of noise which can damage the ear.

Barriers ccould also be designed to include the logo and branding of the company using them.

The company said further product developments were in the pipeline, including an acoustic tent and a transparent barrier.
