Emsley Crane lifting a prefabricated unit into place

Crane rental company Emsley Crane Hire, has used its new Liebherr LTM 1220-5.2 to help lift prefabricated units at Warwick Hospital, in the UK.

A total of 44 prefabricated units were lifted into position for the hospitals new offices. Access to the site of the build was restricted due to underground pipe work and weak floors, a company spokesperson said. To overcome these challenges, the crane was positioned in a safe area and configured with a 60 metre boom to reach the upper floors of the building.

Emsley’s new LTM 1220-5.2 was part of a €2.5 million package of four cranes bought by the company this year, including a LTM 1055-3.2 and two LTM 1040-2.1s.
