Facelift has invested UK£3.5 million in 74 units of access equipment from manufacturer Ascendant.

The investment by the UK rental company includes 50 12.5 m working height van mounts, 12 22 m self propelled platforms and 12 18 m truck mounts.

Gordon Leicester, Facelift managing director, said, "We've got big plans for 2014 and of course, at the heart of that is making sure we've got the kit our customers want.

"We're continually investing in our fleet to make sure that whatever the access challenge, our teams can help, and we hope that these new vehicles from Ascendant will help us to further grow our market share."

Steven Dean, Ascendant Access founder and chief design engineer, added, "Our vehicles are in demand from everyone from the contractor who just needs to work at height occasionally to crews who spend most of their time in the skies. Facelift has invested in a comprehensive range of kit from us, and we anticipate they'll prove popular with customers."
