Galliford Try wins hospital contract

08 October 2015

Galliford Try has been chosen as supply chain partner on the redevelopment of Luton and Dunstable University Hospital.

The project will cost £150 million (€204 million) which includes a new £80 million (€108.8 million) ‘hot block’ for critical care, surgery and other care procedures. It will also replace several wards, refurbish the emergency department and the site’s energy centre, and expand the car park. Completion is expected in 2019.

Work will start immediately with construction of a £6 million (€8.1 million) office block required to enable delivery of the main works.

The company was awarded the project via the ProCure21+ framework.
