General de Alquiler de Maquinaria (GAM) and Peruvian heavy equipment rental and sales company Crosland Técnica have reached a “strategic agreement” to cooperate in Peru’s equipment rental market.

GAM said the agreement with Crosland would allow it to participate in larger projects, with a wider range of equipment to rent and strengthened service and spare parts network.

“Our depots in Arequipa, Piura and Lima enable us to meet the requirements of different projects in Peru”, said Pedro Luis Fernández, president of GAM. "We hold the ability to install mobile workshops and spare parts containers on site, which allow providing full service in every to the customer.

“We are confident that this union will strengthen our position, allowing us to further expand the range of our service offerings in both elevation [aerial platforms] and excavation”.

Crosland Tecnica is part of Grupo Crosland and has 50 years experience of the Peruvian market. It sells brands including Doosan Infracore and Ammann and rents heavy equipment to the construction and mining industries. It also rents and sells generators.

GAM employs more than 1200 staff in 14 countries in Europe, Latin America, North of Africa and Middle East.
