GAM appoints managing director for Spain

Diego García Pastor has been appointed managing director of GAM in Spain.

Pastor, who has previously worked for multinationals such as ThyssenKrupp and Otis Nordics as managing director, joined GAM in January 2023 as corporate director of business development.

GAM said the appointment comes at a “crucial time” for the company as it prepares for the opening of its Reviver plant, a 200,000m2 facility in North West Spain that it said will have the capacity to rebuild 3,000 units a year.

The company added that Pastor will “lead GAM towards an even more promising future, consolidating its position as a benchmark in the sector and guaranteeing excellence.”

Pastor said, “It is with great enthusiasm that I start a new challenge within GAM Rentals as general manager for Spain with the aim of continuing to promote the optimisation and improvement of the services we offer to our clients. Thank you Pedro and the rest of the GAM family for your trust and support.”

According to GAM, the appointment also signifies the next strategic change in providing a “more agile, efficient and value-added response to the customer.”

The company said it expects these changes to significantly enhance cross-selling of the different lines of business in 2024, enabling it to optimise services to “gain efficiency and operability.”
