GBM Demolition to add six new Volvo’s to its demolition fleet

26 July 2011

Louth, UK, based contractor GBM Demolition is to add six new Volvo machines to its demolition and earthmoving fleet.

It has taken delivery of two 26 tonne Volvo ECR235C reduced tailswing models and an EC160CL, with a further two EC380Ds and an EC290C on order for imminent delivery. The company took delivery of its first Volvo machine in 2000 and its machine fleet is now largely made up of models from this manufacturer.

The company carries out demolition projects around the UK, as well as general earthmoving work, including a recent four year contract for the UK's Environment Agency for flood defences throughout Lincolnshire.

The machines in the company's fleet include two EC700BLCs, one of which has been converted to carry a 38 m (125 ft) Kocurek telescopic high reach boom.
