Genesis goes deep for offshore work

Got a demolition challenge at a water depth of more than 3,000 m (10,000 ft)? if so, Genesis Attachments now have the solution in the shape of its new GSS subsea shear, which has been pressure tested to operate down to these depths for demanding offshore applications.

The GSS is available with jaw openings of 813 mm (32 inch) or 1,168 mm (46 inch) and features anti-corrosion primer and paint for corrosion protection in harsh marine environments such as offshore oil/gas platform decommissioning, pipeline and piling cutting and underwater steel cutting. Multi-position rigging allows the shear to be cable-hung and operated by a subsea power pack or from surface power. It also features a heavy duty pivot design protected by an anti-corrosion coating to provide structural strength and durability as well as sealed greaseable pivot points.
