The new XS 310 L loader crane from Hiab is designed for brick and block handling, particularly in the Middle East.

At its maximum outreach of 17.5 m the crane can lift up to 1.24 tonnes. The 450 degree slewing radius, along with a long inner boom, provides a fast load cycle, said the company.

Its 7 m stabiliser span, with a ball socket on the leg plates, increases safety by keeping the crane in perfect balance over the entire working area, added the manufacturer.

The slewing mechanism is fully enclosed in an oil bath, meaning it can be used in demanding applications over a long period of time. It can also have a variable flow pump, resulting in less noise, as well as saving fuel, lowering emissions and extending engine life. An oil cooler makes the oil last longer. The crane weighs about 4 tonnes, meaning it can be installed at the rear of as truck.

"Movements are operated with pedals and joysticks. This radically speeds up loading and unloading operations, thereby increasing the productivity of the crane. We are proud to present a powerful crane that is a perfect tool in the growing construction industry in the Middle East," says Sergio Peiró, Hiab product manager.
