The new Scheuerle Highway Giant Dual Lane Trailer has been designed for the American market

Specialized transport equipment manufacturer Scheuerle has released a new trailer for the US market.

Originally designed for American client Sterett Crane & Rigging, Scheuerle’s new Highway Giant dual lane trailer can now be approved for use in most US states, the manufacturer said.

The new trailer is designed to be flexible and to fulfil different road regulations and requirements throughout North America. It can be configured in different vehicle widths and can be adjusted to suit different loads, helping to distribute weight, the manufacturer said.

The trailer has a lightweight chassis and can be fitted with a gooseneck, drawbar, spacers or decks. In addition, it has pendulum axle technology for easy manoeuvring when negotiating tight bends, a company spokesperson added. The trailer also has a steering angle of up to 60 degrees and is available as a PowerBooster.
