German rental company HKL has branched out with the opening of its first rental depot dedicated to aerial work platforms and telescopic handlers.
Based in Dortmund, HKL said the new branch would be a focal point for customers looking for high-performance machines for working at heights from 8m to 27m.
It said the fleet on offer included scissor lifts; electric and diesel articulating booms; trailer, crawler and truck mounted aerial platforms; telescopic mast platforms; rigid telescopic machines and roto telehandlers.
Brands in the fleet include Genie, Manitou, Teupen, Multitel, Ruthmann, Nifty Lift and Dino Lift.
Branch manager Andre Teupe said the new opening allowed HKL to expand its fleet and target customers in the civil, industrial and building construction sectors.
“Thanks to our years of experience we know the trends in the industry and know what companies need. At the new location we have enough space in order to optimally present the machines and cover every need of our customers."
A HKL spokesperson added that aerial platforms and telescopic handlers have been part of the HKL fleet for a long time. With the new center in Dortmund, they said HKL was bundling machines and expertise in this sector at one central location.
However, the spokesperson said aerial platforms and telescopic handlers were still available in all regions at all HKL locations.
