John Gill to step down as HSS Hire's CEO

UK rental company HSS Hire has announced that its CEO John Gill will step down after eight years at the company.

The company said the search for a successor was underway, and that Mr Gill would continue his role until a new CEO was in place and a handover period was complete.

Alan Peterson, chairman of HSS Hire, said, “John has made an important contribution to the development of the business since joining HSS in 2009.

“As CEO since September 2015, he has led the company through a period of significant change as we implemented our new operating model.

“With this work now largely complete, the focus shifts to driving sales growth through the new network and the board believes it is the right time to look outside the business for a new CEO who can lead this next phase of our recovery.”

Mr Peterson added his thanks to Mr Gill, citing his commitment and leadership as his particular strengths. He said he was pleased that Mr Gill had agreed to remain with the HSS Hire until a handover was completed.
