Hyundai to debut short-tailswing mini excavators

17 February 2011

Hyundai Heavy Industries Europe (HHIE) will display equipment for the construction, mining and quarrying industries, with the first public showing in Italy of the 9 Series excavators, and the introduction of three completely new compact, short tail-swing models.

The full line-up of Hyundai machines at Samoter will include the R16-9, R 27Z-9, R35Z-9 mini-excavators; the R60CR-9, R80CR-9, R210NL-9, R320NLC-9 crawler excavators; the R140W-9 wheeled excavators; and the HL740-9, HL770XTD-9 wheeled loaders.

In conjunction with the introduction of the new 9 Series, Hyundai has also made available its advanced GPS-based Remote Management System called Hi-Mate, which allows owners and operators to know the exact location of the machine at any time, and to retrieve operational and diagnostic data.

The importance of Samoter and the Italian market is not lost on Michel de Weert, marketing manager of HHIE.

He said, "We all know how difficult the market is at the moment, but we consider it is the ideal time to demonstrate our confidence with our on-going product development programme, and to promote the innovative and expanding 9 Series range of excavators."
