Snorkel UK has appointed PLP Lift Trucks as an authorised regional dealer.

Under the terms of the agreement, PLP Lift Trucks will sell and service Snorkel lifts in Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire, alongside Snorkel UK.

PLP Lift Trucks was established in 1972, and has built a solid reputation within the materials handling sector for the sale, rental and servicing of industrial forklifts, as well as providing accredited operator training.

Andrew Fishburn, divisional managing director of Snorkel UK said, “I believe this is a winning combination for both businesses. PLP are an experienced, reliable and well-respected name in the industrial forklift industry, with a proven track record as a dealer through their agreement with Cesab. This cooperation gives Snorkel UK improved access to the industrial market through a trusted partner, whilst also providing additional sales, rental and service opportunities for the PLP team.”

John Organ, managing director, of PLP Lift Trucks, added, “We have been involved in the sale, service and repair of powered access equipment previously, however, this was not at a dealership level. Powered access products are a great fit for our customer base, and earlier this year we began our search for a powered access brand that would match the high quality materials handling products already in our portfolio.”

Following the appointment, PLP Lift Trucks invested in three Snorkel lifts; a TM12 telescopic mast lift, a S3219E electric slab scissor and an A38E electric articulated boom, which will be deployed within their hire fleet initially.
