Ex-JLG Industries sales executive Israel Celli is returning to the construction equipment industry with Case Construction Equipment as vice president sales and marketing for the European region.

He will report directly to Case's chief executive officer and president Jim McCullough. Based at Case's European headquarters near the CDG airport in Paris, France, Mr Celli takes up his new post in mid-September.

Mr Celli's appointment means that he returns to Case Construction where he spent five years in the 90s responsible for the Latin America and Caribbean division. He then joined JLG where he spent eight years, cluminating in his appointment as senior vice president for international sales, marketing and customer support. He left JLG in February this year.

"I am personally very pleased to have Israel back on the Case Construction Equipment team", said Mr McCullough, "His experience and focus on this market will continue to improve the support and service to both customers and distributors.

"We feel fortunate to have Celli's experience of more than 35 years back on the Case team, and we look forward to the energy he brings to this important region", said Mr McCullough.

Mr Celli's eight years with JLG gave him extensive knowledge of the rental sector, where the vast majority of JLG's platforms are sold. His relationships with rental customers worldwide, including Europe, will be of great value to Case as it attempts to increase its sales to rental companies in the region.

Mr Celli's time at JLG was extremely successful. While there, he grew JLG's international sales from US$200 million (€140 million) to over four times that. He signed a two-year non-compete agreement with JLG when he left.
