Kennards Hire has opened its 23rd branch in Victoria, Australia, following the acquisition of Werribee Trade Hire.

Like Kennards Hire, Werribee Trade Hire is a family owned business and serves Melbourne’s western suburbs. Its staff will be retained. Neil Masterson, general manager of Kennards Hire, Victoria, identified Werribee’s local expertise as crucial to Kennards’ success in the area.

“Werribee has always been on the strategic radar for Kennards Hire as a network addition,” He said. “The owners, Miro and Roberta Strmecki, have built a great local business. Their equipment fleet and the customers they service are almost identical to Kennards core market, perfectly complementing our business model.”

Mr Masterson added, “The western suburbs are a rapidly expanding part of metro Melbourne and in growing need of housing and infrastructure development. Our branches at Brooklyn and Geelong do their best to service this market, but we wanted to be closer to the action to provide the rapid service, and wide range of reliable hire equipment designed to make our customers job easy.”

The branch opened for business on 28 November, and while customers can expect to see a brand new sign above the door, the friendly team behind the counter will still be the same.
