Kiloutou acquires Trefoulet rental

18 July 2013

The Kiloutou Group has acquired the rental division of fellow France-based company Trefoulet.

Founded in 1979, Trefoulet specialises in transportation, but in 1996 started an equipment rental division. The company recently decided to focus solely on its core business, and, as a result, sold the equipment rental segment to Kiloutou. The division has two branches, in Pierrelatte and Piolenc.

“This acquisition will enable the group to expand its network of branches in the Provence, Alps, Côte d’Azur (PACA) region,” said a Kiloutou spokesman,It also provides the opportunity for Kiloutou to locate next to the Tricastin nuclear power plant and thus take advantage of the associated activity.”

On a national level, the acquisition reflects the company’s policy of growth through acquisition, as well as organic growth, added the spokesman. In 2012, Kiloutou Group saw a turnover of €460 million and has more than 400 branches across France, said the company.
