At the beginning of February aerial work platform manufacturer, Junjincsm, became the first Korean member of IPAF (International Powered Access Federation). Junjincsm, which estimates it has a 90% share of the AWP market in Korea's shipbuilding sector, hopes its membership of IPAF will help it move forward as a "real international company".

As the first step to becoming a global company. in 2009, it exported the first AWP (TJ-340N, 34 m class) to Brazil. The machine will be shown at the M&T Expo (2 - 6, June). The company is also planning to send a T-380N (38 m class) to Russia for Moscow's CCT 2009 show (2 - 6, June) in an attempt to break into the rental market.

The company's latest machines are the TL-170 and TL-185 telescopic booms, which offer working heights of 17 and 18.5 m respectively. The machines are particulalrly suited for to the demands of the shipbuilding sector, as when folded for travel their low heights means they can "negociate the various obstacles found at shipyards", according to the company.

Junjincsm produces machines with working heights of 15 to 38 m, customised models such as the MP-195 and MP-220, which are suitable for working in narrow spaces, and the T-260H and T-320H, which have "larger basket capacity from 250kg to 500kg".
