Lemminkäinen tenders investigated

Lemminkäinen has admitted that the Finnish Competition Authority is conducting an inspection to assess whether Lemminkäinen´s stonework contracting business has participated in actitivities against the Finnish Act on Competition Restrictions.

The 100-year-old Finnish construction group operates all round the Baltic Rim region.

The inspection is related to stoneworks tenders in the city of Helsinki. Lemminkäinen said it was co-operating fully with the competition authorities.

It said the 2010 net sales of the business under inspection were approximately € 12 million.
