A Liebherr Derrick 200 DR 5/10 Litronic crane was used to remove a Liebherr 355 HC-L 12/24 Litronic luffing jib tower crane from the roof of a newly built hotel in Montreal, Canada.

The 200 DR 5/10 operated from the roof of the new Courtyard Marriot Hotel. Challenges included a restricted workspace and working at high altitude. The 355 HC-L had a final hook height of more 130 metres and it took four days to dismantle.

After the job was complete the derrick crane stayed on site to help with further roofing work on the hotel.
