Liebherr tests

18 March 2008

1.1: Tensile test results for structural steel tower crane parts showing that the yield point of a counterfeit is well below the required level.

2.2: Counterfeit materials used are unsuitable for operations in cold weather. The graph demonstrated the typical drop in notched bar impact work of structural steel under the transition temperature, T. Liebherr says it uses steel for its tower sections that, even at low temperatures, will register in the ductile behaviour, thereby displaying sufficient impact toughness.
