Mammoet extends operational reach

Heavy lift and transportation specialist, Mammoet, is extending its presence globally with the opening of a branch office in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada, and one in Krefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Mammoet claims this is part of its global strategy to have a local presence in regions with a strong industrial base.

Speaking on the Canadian branch opening, Trevor Liviniuk, branch operations manager, said, “Grande Prairie is a rapidly growing business environment with exciting projects in oil and gas facilities and oilfield well servicing; it also boasts a strong community of skilled professionals. I look forward to working with our Mammoet team to help our clients achieve their goals with high quality and efficient crane and equipment services.

In Europe, the new German branch office will be located in Krefeld, North Rhine-Westphalia. Mammoet says this location is at the heart of the chemical part of Krefeld-Uerdingen and so the office will allow Mammoet to better serve their clients in the Rhine/Ruhr area with engineered heavy lifting and transport services, including equipment setting and turnaround services.

The new German branch will receive support from Mammoet Netherlands’ regional office in the south of the Netherlands. Cees de Bont, director of the southern regions at Mammoet Netherlands said: “This is an important extension of the European Mammoet network. It fits well with our strategy to be present near our customers.”
