Construction company Max Bögl chose to use a Liebherr LTR 1220 telescopic crawler crane to construct a school in Neumarkt, Germany.

The crawler crane will be used to lift precast concrete pieces and elements weighing up to 90 tonnes on site of the Willibald-Gluck-Gymnasium, which is being built to replace the old school.

The LTR 1220 has a 220 tonne capacity and it is capable of telescoping large loads using the boom, the manufacturer said. Crane operator Andreas Leute said, "The LTR 1220 is a really powerful piece of kit and what's more it's good to operate.”
