Belgium-based transport company Maxtrans transported a liquid gas tank weighing 400 tonnes using S-module axle lines from manufacturer Faymonville.

Maxtrans transported the gas tank from the finishing hall at Ellimetal to a nearside quay on the Albert Canal, where is was to be shipped to Antwerp in Belgium.

The tank weighed 400 tonnes and measured 74 metres long and had a diameter of 8.4 m. To carry out the task an 8 x 4 tractor unit was connected to the trailer using a gooseneck.

Challenges during the task, which included narrow bends on the exit roads, were overcome due to two long material turntables with self-steering devices.
