Mega load out for ALE

Heavy lift and transport specialist ALE has completed the load out of 111 modules at a fabrication yard in Bauan Batangas, Philippines.

The project was undertaken by the Philippines branch of ALE. The modules weighed between 31 and 1,925 tonnes each. A number of vessels and other equipment were also transported.

One of the modules was moved using a skidding system. The vessel weighed 135 tonnes and was skidded at 5 metres high using a push and pull system, hydraulic jacks and hijack frame, a spokesperson said. Some of the heaviest modules, weighing 1,925 and 966 tonnes, were loaded out using 104 axles of Nicolas self propelled modular transporter (SPMT).

Noli Cainto, ALE Philippines head of operations, said, “I want to congratulate the team on their successful completion of the project. We are proud of the hard work put in by all of the team involved and it demonstrates the consistency of providing resolutions so that the project is completed whilst avoiding any delays."
