New production capacity in Irapuato, Mexico, will supply and deliver screening media to aggregates customers in the region, ultimately replacing the existing US facility in Warrenton, Missouri.

The Mexico factory will start operations gradually during the first half of 2023, becoming fully operational during the third quarter, while production at Warrenton will be ramped down during the rest of the year ahead of its closure.

“We will serve customers with shorter lead times and faster deliveries by using a production site optimised for screening media products,” said Heikki Metsälä, president of Metso Outotec consumables business area.

“Our global supply footprint is under continuous development to ensure sustainable and profitable growth and to serve our customers’ growing needs.”
