Spanish manufacturer Ausa has opened a new subsidiary in Mexico as part of its expansion plans in North America. The company is also soon to establish a business in Brazil.

The company's full portfolio of products, including self-propelled dumpers, all-terrain forklifts, compact telescopic handlers, self-loading concrete mixers and street-sweeping vehicles, as well as spare parts, will now be available in Mexico.

Already, Ausa is planning to expand across the country with dealership agreements currently on offer for the regions of Veracruz, Jalisco and Yucatán, according to Ausa's global sales director Paco Pérez Salinas.

A distribution network in Mexico City has been established. Training packages will be provided for local distributors, and Ausa is negotiating local financing.

Further expansion in the Americas is planned for the Spanish company, with Ausa Brazil next on the list.

"We currently export almost 90% of production and we see future growth potential in the international market", said Mr Salinas, "The figures show that Ausa grew by 23% in 2011, which suggests that this strategy is the right one."
