Military extends JLG contract

JLG Industries has extended its contract with the United States Army by US$10.2 million to help restore military equipment deployed in Afghanistan.

The Reset program administered by the Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Life Cycle Management Command (TACOM) is designed to reverse the effects of combat stress on equipment, ensuring that machines are ‘reset’ to optimal condition.

Under the terms of the $73.8 million contract, JLG is refurbishing its SkyTrak6000M, ATLAS, and ATLAS II military telehandlers, as well as other material handling and construction equipment deployed in Afghanistan. The JLG military service team will perform the work in Bagram and Kandahar, Afghanistan, until 9 August 2013.
