UK rental company Mr Plant Hire is growing the size of its fleet with Skyjack electric scissors. The batteries are treated with Thermoil to extend their life.

UK based Mr Plant Hire has increased its fleet of powered access products with a number of Skyjack electric scissor lifts. The company says this is to meet the growing demand from its London and south eastern area customer base.

Tony Crawford, general manager at Mr Plant said, "We have seen not only increased demand for access products from our customers in recent months but, ever more emphasis from those customers for modern and reliable equipment that will show up and work without any form of technical or maintenance input from the customer's perspective.

"Job sites in London are especially busy places on very tight contract timelines and any form of delay can cause big knock on effects. Not only are Mr Plant adding ever more new equipment to our fleet but, are also treating all our existing and new access products with Thermoil Battery Protection products to ensure battery performance and reduce the importance of their customers checking battery water levels."

Mr Crawford went on "We all know that our customers don't check water in batteries for a variety of reasons and we have found that once the Thermoil is added that battery attributable machine failures go down dramatically; our move to whole fleet treatment with Thermoil has been noticed by not only our own staff but customers alike."

Mr Plant Hire runs a fleet of more than three hundred machines from its London based office. The fleet ranges from of push around scissors and electric lifts to the newly purchased HR21 diesel and bi-energy booms from Niftylift.

Mr Plant Hire is a founder member of the Access Alliance, which enables them to offer a nationwide service working in cooperation with like minded independently owned access companies throughout the UK.
