The National Demolition Association (NDA) has announced the dates for its first regional Fall Education Progamme that will offer training courses covering safety, project management and estimating. It will be held on 23 and 24 September 2011at the Turf Valley resort in Ellicott City in Maryland, just outside Baltimore.

The event will take place immediately before the NDA's Annual C&D Recycling Forum, which is being held at the same venue over 25-27 September 2011.

An OSHA 10 hour demolition specific course will be on offer, held over both days. Dr Mark Shaurette of Purdue University will outline how a project progresses on the afternoon of 23 September, with Richard Diven providing guidance in estimating on the afternoon of 24 September.

According to NDA executive director Mike Taylor: "With the demolition and general contractors, C&D processors, waste haulers, and solid waste and recycling experts coming to the Forum, it's advantageous to everyone to offer the training at that location so there's no extra travel involved. Anyone involved in the demolition process can benefit from these courses."
