Lampson International has a new heavy, heavy lift crane in development - the LTL 3000. Lampson signed a contract with Hitachi in December 2009 for the new 3,000 ton capacity machine scheduled for 2011 delivery.

The new crane will be modeled after the LTL 2600, which Lampson built for Hitachi several years ago. The crane is working in Japan at the Shimane power plant.

The new LTL 3000 is also designed for power plant work, according to Bill Lampson, president.
