Foundation equipment specialist Bauer will have a focus at Bauma China on rigs "engineered in Germany" and manufactured to the company's quality standards at its factories in Tianjin and Shanghai.

On display from the Tianjin factory will be the BG 26 rotary rig, Bauer’s best-selling medium sized machine, and the new BG 38 will be displayed as example of a high capacity Kelly drilling machine. This offers a maximum drilling depth of 90 m and a maximum diameter of 3m.

Diaphragm wall machines will be represented by the best-selling GB 46 standard model and the GB 60, which offers a maximum depth of 80 m. The grabs are equipped with special features such as a turning device and a flap steering system for maintaining verticality.

An interesting new product meanwhile is a ‘rescue rig’, which is the fruit of a joint development programme between Bauer and its subsidiary Prakla, which makes deep drilling rigs for the oil & gas industry. The RB-T 90 is designed as a standby rig that can be used in case of emergencies in mines to drill rescue shaft and evacuate trapped personnel.
