New hammers

24 April 2008

Terex Has Launched a New Range of Hydraulic hammers specifically designed to give long, trouble-free usage with minimal down time. The Terex TXH Silenced Series, TXH250S to TXH1400S (250 to 1400 Joules per blow, 750 to 1100 blows/minute), are designed to work with the company's mini/midi excavator and backhoe loader range.

Features includes low maintenance, with a boltless mounting system, only three moving parts - the piston, spool valve and &poppet' for fixing the tool retainer in place, constant blow energy throughout the engine rev range and low susceptibility to back pressure.

Vibrosilencing via the polymer suspension pads reduces total operator and carrier machine vibration exposure, while a pure nitrogen backhead reduces down time.

The hammers are easily maintained thanks to a single point greasing system for the tool and bottom housing, while the one-piece box does not use cross-bolts, so contractors can cut narrow trenches without catching the sides.

For larger carriers - 13 to 50 tonnes - Terex has launched the TXH Power Series of hydraulic breakers. The TX2200 (2200 Joules per blow, 400 to 600 blows/minute), the TX4400 (4400 Joules per blow, 400 to 600 blows/minute) and the TX10000 (10000 Joules per blow, 400 to 600 blows/minute) feature mechanically and hydraulically dampened recoil, high pressure and flow tolerances and an &Urban' silencer, which limits noise to 125, 127 and 130 dB respectively.
