Yanmar Compact Equipment has expanded its product offering for the North American market, adding a new line of compact tracked loaders to its range.

Due to enter mass production later this year, the TL65RS, TL75VS, TL80VS and TL100VS models are designed for construction and rental industry applications.

They have operating weights ranging from 8,000lb (3.6 tonnes) up to 10,575lb (4.8 tonnes) and feature a suspended undercarriage with a pivot link systems at the rear axle.

According to Yanmar, the linkage technology “uses a spring load to reduce oscillation and stabilize the machine, helping to improve material retention and ride quality”.

Buck Storlie, product manager, Yanmar Compact Equipment, said, “These new compact track loaders create a full line of compact equipment and we are excited to bring more value to the market with the reliable products we’re known for.

“Customers love our mini excavators for their quality construction and trusted performance in any conditions and now those benefits will be available in our compact track loaders.”

All four models are fitted with Tier 4 Final-compliant Yanmar engines, that provides up to 103hp (77.2kW) of power and come with a 2-year warranty.

As well as a removable escape hatch in the roof for safety, the tracked models also benefit from 360-degree visibility, a suspended seat for operator comfort and a 7-inch colour display screen.

While further details are not expected to be revealed until closer to time of their production - Spring for the TL100VS and the Autumn for the other four compact loaders, Storlie said, “As specialists in the compact equipment market, we designed these compact track loaders to be the whole package.

“Our engines are already preferred on a wide array of compact equipment, and we’re committed to upholding our reputation for excellence and reliability as Yanmar expands into the compact track loader realm.”

Yanmar introduced the new product line at last month’s ConExpo 2023 construction exhibition in Las Vegas, US, where its sister company ASV also launched two compact tracked loaders: the VT-100 and the VT-100 Forestry.

The new machines are part of ASV’s MAX-Series equipment line and feature Yanmar’s 4-cylinder 3.1-litre Tier 4 Final diesel engine.

While the VT-100 has an operating weight of 10,100lb (4.6 tonnes) and a tipping load of 10,000lb (4.5 tonnes), the Forestry version’s specs come in slightly higher, with a tipping load of 10,500lb (4.8 tonnes) and an operating weight of 11,400lb (5.2 tonnes).

The VT-100 Forestry is available with optional window guards and a heavy-duty roof structure for foresty and off-highway applications.
