The 152ft working height Genie SX-150 boom has made its debut in Vietnam.

Sharon Foong, general manager of Terex Asia AWP Southeast Asia, presents a key to Takumi Hosoi, general director, Nishio Rent All Vietnam, during the handover ceremony.

Nishio Rent All believes its purchase of the machine will boost its market share by 20 to 30%. The Genie SX-150 model adds to Nishio Rent All’s 2,000 unit fleet, ranging from small tools to heavy equipment, in Vietnam.

With the construction market in the country picking up incredible momentum since 2014, based on the strong demand for housing and infrastructure construction, says the company, the General Statistics Office of Vietnam expects the industry to grow at about 6.6% per year until 2025.

“We are well positioned to meet the expectations of strong economic growth and rapid urbanisation in Vietnam,” said Takumi Hosoi, general director, Nishio Rent All Vietnam. “As a pioneer, we are going to keep increasing our fleet size and add new machines with the latest technology for our customers to benefit from. Our biggest boom lift to date is Genie Z-135/70 model. With increasing demand for more sophisticated construction, we saw the need for Genie SX-150 boom to be introduced into the Vietnam market.

“Starting with the one unit we acquired, we will open up new markets with the boom lift’s superior features,” adds Mr Hosoi, ”This will certainly provide the basis for creating another market for Genie SX-180 models, another boom lift with a greater vertical reach.”
