Italian truck-mounted aerial work platform manufacturer Oil & Steel has entered into partnership with Russian firm ST Nizhegorodets to create and distribute truck-mounted machines in the country.

ST Nizhegorodets, which also owns machinery distributor Vertex, builds special commercial vehicles and passenger vans. Oil&Steel approved the production facilities of ST Nizhegorodets in Nizhny Novgorod following a site visit and now the Russian firm is to begin marketing its first two mounted machines at TCT 2013 in Moscow.

Making their debut at the trade fair will be a Snake Smart 189 on an Iveco 50C15 chassis and a Scorpion 1812 Smart on a GAZ 3309 truck.

A further five to ten new units are planned between Oil&Steel and its new Russian partners in the near future.
