OSHA committee to review crane certification

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration in the USA said it will assemble an advisory committee to revise the crane operator certification requirements.

The revision of the certification requirements was proposed by a number of industry members and representatives, including the Coalition for Crane Operator Safety (CCOS) and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).

OSHA’s Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH) will meet from 31 March to 2 April to consider proposed revisions to the crane operator qualification requirement.
