Specialist tower crane company P&J Arcomet is the new distributor for Zoomlion tower cranes in the USA and Canada. P&J is the exclusive dealer and service agent for the Chinese manufacturer.
The first new Zoomlion tower erected by P&J in the USA is a recent new model, the T8030-25 flat top, to work on the new Rolex building in Dallas, Texas. Rated capacity is 25 tonnes and it has a maximum hook radius of 80 metres where it lifts 3.3 tonnes.
P&J said it has started taking deliveries of new cranes as part of an annual order. Work started jointly on the development of the T8030-25 in 2014. It was designed by veteran tower crane engineer Franc Jost. Peter Jehle at P&J Arcomet further developed the mechanical and electrical systems to meet European and North American requirements. The new T8030-25 is built to meet DIN and FEM standards for design and manufacturing, P&J Arcomet said. It has TüV and UL/CSA certification, and all welders at the factory have AWS (American Welding Society) certification, the company continued.
Owen Yang, Zoomlion overseas sales director, said, “P&J has an unmatched reputation for tower crane expertise in North America and provides Zoomlion the sales, rental and service platform befitting our high standards for quality and safety.
“The team at P&J has a lot of experience and is a market leader, not to mention what they have contributed to Peiner’s prominence on the continent. The introduction of the T8030-25 model will provide a better choice for customers,” Yang added.
Peter Jehle, P&J Arcomet founder, said, “We spent quite a lot of time getting to know Zoomlion; from their manufacturing standards, workmanship and technology. We got involved from the ground up and this is one of the best-built cranes I have ever been associated with. This will deliver our customers an exceptional crane at an exceptional value; it simply blows away the competition.”
