PASMA, the UK access tower association, has launched a new Operator's Code of Practice for aluminium and fibreglass access towers. The guide incorporates the fall protection requirements of the UK's new Work at Height Regulations.

The code has been produced with the cooperation of the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and includes material on types of towers, components, stability, hazards, care and maintenance. It is also designed to represent a guide to “best practice” for users, supervisors and managers. The code costs £5.00.

Meanwhile, PASMA has revised its Safe Use of Mobile Access Towers video, taking into account the Work at Height Regulations. The film is now available in DVD format priced at £35.00. Both the new DVD and the Code of Practice are available from PASMA's online shop at www.pasma.co.uk
