Pectel's Darren Wickens appointed to ARCA governing council

Darren Wickins of Pectel (a division of Keltbray) has been appointed as a director of the UK's Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA). Darren has worked in the asbestos sector for the last 15 years, the last eight of which he has spent with Keltbray, and has been involved with a number of high profile asbestos remediation and demolition projects.

These include the removal of sprayed asbestos coatings on the entire 22 storey steel structure at 20 Fenchurch Street in London (Keltbray's demolition of which is shortlisted fro the Demolition Awards contract of the year 2009) and more recently the removal of asbestos from the Grade II listed Quadrant 3 on Regent Street, London, for the Crown Estate.

Following his electon to the board, Darren said: "It is a tremendous honour to be appointed to the ARCA governing council and I look forward to giving my full support to help ensure the quality of services ARCA provides to the industry is maintained."
