UK Asbestos remediation specialist Rhodar has appointed Matt Thorne to the position of assistant project manager for its South West UK operations.

Hans-Georg Frey is to leave his position of managing director of Liebherr-Werk Ehingen GmbH on 30th April 2007. Until a successor is appointed, his responsibilites will be taken over by Mario Trunzer. Mr Frey will take up the position of chairman of the board at Jungheinrich on 1st May.

US equipment dealer Stafford Equipment has apponted Ed McHale as chief operating officer with effect from February 2007. He will oversee the establishment of common practice and procedures across all 11 of the company's locations.

Martin Williams, environmental health and safety manager at UK rental company Hewden, has been named among the 30 finalists put forward for the UK's Future Leaders in Construction Awards.
