Contractor prien used its liebherr HS 895 HD crawler crane for a flood protection project in Hamburg. It is being used to install raked piles around the city's dyke using a 10,5 tonne S70 hydraulic vibrator from IHC. Each pile was 43 m long and weighed 9 tonnes. Despite these dimensions, four to five piles were installed per day, and the contract took less than three months to complete.

The crane was rigged with 85,5 tonnes of counterweight, 36 tonnes of carbody counterweight and a 51 m main boom. It was fitted with a 54 m swinging lead, and was mounted on a barge.
